Liveshops Alpha — Terms & Conditions

Effective date: May 1, 2026
Last updated: May 1, 2026

By signing in and using Liveshops during this alpha, you agree to the points below.

1. This Is an Alpha for Testing Only

Liveshops is in early alpha. The site exists right now so a small group of invited testers can poke at it, find bugs, and tell us what’s working and what isn’t.

Concretely, that means:

  • Features may break, change shape, or disappear without notice.
  • Data you create (channels, profiles, chat, etc.) may be reset, migrated, or wiped while we iterate.
  • Downtime, weird behavior, and rough edges are expected. That’s the whole reason you’re here.

Please don’t rely on Liveshops as a production tool during this phase.

2. No Live Sales. No Payments.

Even though Liveshops is built around a live shopping experience, no real sales are happening on the platform during the alpha. Any “buy,” “checkout,” “list for sale,” or similar flow you see is a simulation for testing purposes only.

  • No money will change hands through Liveshops in this phase.
  • No payment processing is active. Please do not attempt to send payment information, and do not treat any in-product price, inventory count, or order confirmation as a real commercial transaction.
  • No shipping or fulfillment is taking place. Anything that looks like an order is a test artifact.

If anything in the product makes it look like a real purchase is occurring, that’s a bug — please tell us.

3. No Warranties — Use At Your Own Risk

Because this is a test build, Liveshops is provided “as is” and “as available,” with no warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes (but isn’t limited to) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Liveshops and its team aren’t liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from your use of the alpha — including lost data, missed opportunities, or the site simply not working when you wanted it to. Again: this is a test environment, not a finished product.

4. Access Is by Invite Only

Participation in the alpha is by invitation. Please don’t share your invite, login credentials, or access links with anyone we haven’t invited directly. If you’d like to suggest a friend or colleague who’d make a good tester, just let us know — we’re happy to consider adding them.

We may pause, suspend, or end your access at any time, for any reason, including simply because the alpha phase is wrapping up. No hard feelings — it’s part of how testing phases work.

5. Testing Is Non-Compensated

Your time as a tester is given voluntarily and without compensation. We aren’t paying for your participation, your feedback, your bug reports, or any content you create on the site, and you aren’t expecting payment by participating.

We’re enormously grateful that you’re spending time on this. We just want to be upfront that “thank you” is the form your compensation takes during the alpha.

6. Feedback Is Welcome — and Doesn’t Create Ownership

We love feedback. Bug reports, feature ideas, screenshots of weird states, “this button confused me” comments — all of it helps. Please send it our way.

A couple of things to keep in mind about feedback you share with us:

  • Any feedback, suggestion, idea, or comment you give us about Liveshops can be used by us freely and without obligation — to improve the product, to inform future features, or for any other purpose related to building Liveshops.
  • Sharing feedback with us does not give you any ownership stake, equity, royalty, license, or other rights in Liveshops, the product, the company, or any feature that ends up resembling something you suggested. You’re helping us shape the product as a tester, not as a co-owner or contributor of intellectual property.

If a feature ships that’s similar to something you suggested, please take it as a compliment — not as a basis for a claim.

7. Be Decent to the Other Testers

It’s a small group right now. Please don’t post anything in chat, profile fields, or live channels that’s harassing, threatening, illegal, or otherwise something you wouldn’t want shown back to you. If you see someone behaving badly, tell us.

We may remove content or revoke access if behavior gets in the way of a productive testing environment.

8. Privacy

How we handle the data you generate while testing is described in our Privacy Policy. The short version: we collect what we need to operate the test, we don’t sell your data, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time.

9. Changes to These Terms

These terms may evolve as the alpha evolves. If we make a meaningful change, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where it matters, give you a heads-up in-product or by email.

10. Contact

Questions, concerns, or feedback about these terms? Email us — we read everything testers send.
